2 Minutos

2 Minutos is an Argentine punk rock band and one of the leading references of Latin American punk. Formed in 1987 in Valentín Alsina (in the southern area of Greater Buenos Aires), they made their official debut in 1989 and have since built a foundational career within the genre. With nearly 40 years of uninterrupted activity, the group currently maintains a stable lineup consisting of Walter “Mosca” Velázquez (vocals), Alejandro “Papa” Ainadjian (bass), Martín “Monti” Montaña (drums), Pablo “Blisky” Coll (guitars and backing vocals), and Alejandro “Indio” Mirones (guitars and backing vocals).
They opened for the Ramones at Vélez Sarsfield Stadium (alongside Motörhead), at Obras Sanitarias, and at the New York band’s farewell show at River Plate Stadium alongside Iggy Pop and Die Toten Hosen. Their debut album Valentín Alsina (1994) sold 55,000 copies, and they were named “Breakthrough Band” by the Sí supplement of the newspaper Clarín. Hah
