Moorelo

Moorelo is an independent pop-rock project from Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, consisting of Tania Marmolejo (vocals), Oscar Morquecho (bass), Claudio Mendoza (guitar), Evelyn Yáñez (drums), and Dirk Mendoza (guitar).

After getting their start playing covers on Morelos Street in downtown Monterrey, the project evolved into a full band. Moorelo blends pop, rock, indie, and punk influences. Their first EP, “Presagio,” was released in 2019, featuring a more aggressive sound and darker lyrics. In 2021, they released their second EP, “GRIT,” which paired a powerful sound with empowering, nostalgic, and heartbreak-themed lyrics. Their third EP, “Ascendente,” followed in 2022 with a more punk-driven sound.

The band has also released singles featuring collaborations with Erik Canales of Allison; Colombian singer and Nickelodeon actress KRISTAL; and Kross Vazquez, former drummer of Panda, on the album “Vivx Pxndx, Vol. 1.” Most recently, Moorelo released their latest single, “El Problema Soy Yo.”
