Thermo

THERMO, the iconic Guadalajara-based rock band, has spent over two decades shaping Mexico’s alternative music scene, pioneering the independent movement in the early 2000s. As one of the first bands to cultivate a truly self-sustained scene, THERMO has not only thrived without major industry backing, but also paved the way for countless artists who followed their DIY blueprint. Their influence is undeniable, not just in Mexico but across Latin America, where their loyal fanbase remains a testament to their enduring impact.
After celebrating the 20th anniversary of Arde en mí in 2025 with a successful tour that spanned Mexico, Peru, and Colombia, culminating in a memorable performance at Mexico City's Auditorio Blackberry, the band made it clear: THERMO is here to stay. Looking ahead, they’re returning to the studio in 2026 to record fresh material, alongside the highly anticipated re-release of their groundbreaking album Bajo el control del radar.
The band's career milestones include headlining festivals like Vive Latino, Rock al Parque, and Machaca Fest, and receiving MTV nominations for Best Artist (North) and Best Independent Artist. With key collaborations, including covers of Mexican classics like Que te han visto llorar and Rosa Pastel, and their participation in a tribute to División Minúscula, THERMO continues to innovate and inspire.
Recently, they've released a re-recorded version of Arde en mí, a limited-edition vinyl of Donde Estás, and a split EP with fellow Mexican rockers Insite, keeping their legacy alive while gearing up for the next chapter.
